Why shop at Marriott?
Marriott helps you find hotel rooms in destinations around the world. The chain has a commitment to clean and takes time to thoroughly clean every room before guests arrive. With the best rate guarantee, Marriott will match any cheaper price you find at one of its hotels or resorts and refund any money you already spent. You can find great Marriott promotions during the year.
Best ways to save at Marriott
New customer discounts
The Marriott new customer discount is available exclusively for guests who sign up for the chain's reward program. If you spend $3,000 or more in the first three months on your card, you earn three free nights at any Marriott hotel or resort. There are additional Marriott deals that offer points for every room you book.
Verify your student status
There isn't a Marriott student discount, but students can save money on their spring break and other trips. Marriott offers seasonal packages where you save when you book a hotel room and buy tickets for a local attraction. You'll also find Marriott deals that drop your price per night when you stay for a week or longer. Marriott has different cheaper packages in select cities, too.
Verify your military status
With the Marriott military discount, you can save on hotel rooms in every location around the world. If you are currently in the military, pick a destination and select your room. Add the "Gov" discount in the "Special Rates" box. The front desk worker at the hotel will apply your discount when you check in and present your ID.
Veterans qualify for Marriott discounts, too. You need to enter "Veterans" in the keyword box to find hotels that offer discounts for veterans. Marriott will show you all of the available offers at that specific hotel and neighboring locations. You just need to pick a hotel and confirm your reservation.
Become a rewards member
Marriott Bonvoy is the new rewards club for the hotel chain. Joining the Marriott rewards program comes with some amazing benefits that include:
Get member rates at all hotels in the chain
Check into your room with a mobile device and skip the line
Enjoy free Wi-Fi in your room
Earn points with each stay that help you unlock free rooms
Get alerted to Marriott offers via email
Sign up for the newsletter
Find new and exclusive discounts through the Marriott newsletter. While you won't get a specific discount right away, you will get coupons later. You might snag a Marriott promo code for a resort in your favorite destination. Marriott often sends promos that help you earn bonus points as a rewards member when you book a hotel room as well.
Get cashback
All of the Marriott cashback offers we found were only available for credit card users. The chain has four credit cards that include one for business owners and another for guests of luxury resorts. You earn money back when you use your card to book hotel rooms and buy from any store.
How to redeem a Marriott coupon
Visit the Marriott website with your coupon and start looking for a room. Choose the destination you want to visit and your trip dates. Click on the "Special Rates" button and pick the "Corporate/Promo/Set#" option from the drop-down menu. Paste your Marriott promo code into this box and click on the "Find Hotels" button.
Marriott will then show you all of the available hotels and rooms. Pick the hotel where you want to stay and select your room. When you reserve your room, the site will apply your promo code.
Troubleshooting your coupon
If you picked a Marriott code that doesn't work, make sure you picked the right option under the "Special Rates" menu. As you can only use one coupon per reservation, you need to choose between using a special rate or a coupon. Making a formatting mistake or a spelling error can also affect the code.
Some Marriott promo codes do not work in all locations, too. Verify that the coupon you picked will work at the hotel you like.
